As Sean Corry has a special interest in orthodontics he uses this discipline a lot in his smile design either as a full smile design solution or as part of a smile design treatment plan.
What orthodontic treatments are available at Corry Dental Care?
At Corry Dental Care we offer fixed and removable brace solutions. We can offer fixed orthodontic treatment using clear ceramic brackets which are almost invisible from conversational distances and in less severe cases we can offer invisible removable braces using the Smilelign technique. Sean has found Smilelign the most suitable invisible brace system as it can be done with respect being paid not only to the position of the teeth but the TMJ and facial position too. This fits very well with his treatment philosophies from the Dawson Academy and creates a natural looking, comfortable and stable smile makeover solution.
How long does orthodontics take?
Typically the invisible cases are completed in 6 – 9 months while some of the more comprehensive smile alignment using fixed braces can take up to two years.
We also supply sectional fixed braces which can align front teeth in six months or even less and are often used to align smiles prior to further work using composite bonding or even porcelain veneers.
Orthodontics is an excellent stand alone smile makeover solution in unworn but misaligned dentitions but is often part of a smile makeover treatment plan in which composite bonding, porcelain veneers or crowns are used to bring the straightened teeth to full form and / or aesthetics after the orthodontics.
This allows Sean to have a unique approach to smile design as he can integrate orthodontics into his treatment planning for his smile makeovers allowing him to conserve as much tooth substance as possible and get maximum aesthetic benefit with the least amount of invasive dentistry.
All Corry Dental Care orthodontic tooth whitening can be used to brighten and complete your newly transformed smile of your dreams.
Sean also offers options to straighten teeth without braces. Straightening teeth without braces is used when there are no health considerations that would require braces i.e. the dentistry is kept minimally invasive. Common options for straightening teeth include porcelain veneers and dental crowns. Porcelain veneers only cover the front and sides of the teeth and can eliminate minor crowding. Dental crowns cover the entire tooth and are more suited to teeth that have more significant alignment issues.
